In which Jesus switches teams
Hello, and welcome back to you, my fine friends and readers! I'm so glad you're here with me today. This is the fifth installment of my Blue Cat Journal Notes. Doing my best to chronicle the fall of the American experiment for posterity’s sake. What comes after the fall, however, is up to us, my good people. There is very little happening at the top that we have the power to address right now. We must move our focus instead towards preparing for the coming hardships and shoring up our community connections. The world that is blooming in front of us is confusing and chaotic, but also rife with possibilities. Stay strong. Stay safe. Keep your nerves hard and your heart soft. Your love, compassion and light will be needed to birth the new world that we will create when this darkness passes. I love you all so much. Thank you for holding me in your hearts. 😻bpnwc

~No journal entries now for about a week. I've simply been too depressed to want to rehash any current events by transcribing them to the page. It's all pretty dark and terrible. ICE continues to terrorize cities in several states. Kidnapping children and using them as bait, deploying chemical munitions in American cities that the military won't even use on war combatants. They have been given the green light to enter people's homes without a judicial warrant. As with all terrible actions by this regime, their supporters clap like trained seals for these unlawful aggressions, not at all grasping the grim reality that someday, they too will find themselves at the tender mercies of these fascist dickbags. May I live to see that day. 😺

~Another day, another ICE murder of a citizen in Minneapolis. A man this time. Executed in the streets while being held down by several armed goons. I cannot even bring myself to watch the footage this time. The lies and post mortem smearing of the victim is already in full swing. The government is perfecting their propaganda and rapid press response in real time and it is thoroughly disconcerting to watch this process in action. More disturbing, even, than that is the ease with which vast numbers of American citizens seem to accept this disingenuous framing.
We have been groomed towards complacency and helplessness for so long in this country that I wonder if we, as a nation, retain the necessary capacity to hold them to account with righteous anger and direct action. At least in the timeframe that would help to prevent further calamity. It's inexcusable that seven Democrats just voted with the Republicans for a funding increase for ICE “training”. Because apparently all that's keeping them from being decent and honorable men is the training. The white hot hatred of immigrants and women. The casual racism, sexism, rape and murder they employ upon the citizens—all of that will surely be resolved with a training course and a mandate to wear body cams. Forgive me for my skepticism. Those seven Democrats are the embodiment of why I will never give my money or my energy to another establishment politician. 😺

~I woke up to the news that they have relocated ICE leader Gregory Bovino back to California where he came from. The government is sending, in his stead, Tom Homan, who is already credibly accused of accepting a 50K bribe. To even imagine that the problems will be solved by this is ridiculous, and yet everywhere I look I see people reacting as though this is some victory. For myself, it doesn't reassure me at all to see the federal government attempting to recreate the Catholic church’s predator relocation program except for ICE agents. 😺
~Finished a new shell today. This one is intended be a gift to Alex's choir teacher.

~I find it darkly humorous that the regime is now walking back the second amendment rights of American citizens. Not that I'm in favor of it. Just that it's all I've heard my entire life from every Republican I've ever known: the government was supposedly coming for their guns for decades and voting Republican was the only way to keep that from happening. Now it's their own great white hope of a president who's coming for their guns. Good. I hope he takes them all. 😺
~Just read that Trump now wants to send ICE agents to the Olympic games in Milan Italy to work as “support and security”. Dear mother of all terrible ideas! I honestly hope that Italy just flatly refuses to allow this bullshit. I cannot imagine a single valid reason for ICE to be deployed internationally. This country is such a goddamn farce. 😺
~Alex found this miniature 666 Jesus just chilling out on the freezer case at the grocery store. Looks like the Christians fucked shit up so bad that even the Lord himself has switched teams, y'all.
