My friends, what is there that I can even speak on right now that our overly saturated media coverage hasn't already ripped to pieces, masticated and spat back in our faces ad nauseum for the last few months?
Sigh…
It's great to see the movement on the Epstein files. That's been a long time coming for sure. Thing is though— I simply do not think we will get the satisfaction that we have been so earnestly hoping for. Pattern recognition is something I am blessed/cursed with, and this all feels frighteningly similar to all the other preceding edgings that we have been subjected to over this past exhausting decade.
Right now, we are riding high on the crest of this hopeful wave of possibilities, justice and redemption once again being dangled seductively in our faces. It harkens back to all of our past misplaced hopes. Mueller and Jack Smith and all the “good guys” who we were assured would sweep in and save the day. All the feel good narratives and supposed promises of justice being right around the corner.
I just don't trust it. It's too neat. Too rehearsed feeling. And I keep coming back to the same thing: the information included in those files is not new. It has been known for years and years, that information jealously protected and shielded from the light of day by politicians and respected journalists of all stripes and political affiliations. This has never been a Republicans vs Democrat fight, but a fight waged by those with power against those who have none.
My personal feeling is that the real true content of those files will never see the light of day because if they do, the resultant tremors would shake every corridor of power in this nation and, indeed, the entire globe into dust. Why else would they so shamelessly and brazenly claim that releasing them in their entirety would pose a national security threat?
Also, it begs the question: why now? Why, when all of this information was widely known even during a Democratic presidency, was it never released? Didn't we all just witness Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massey threaten to read the names from the list out loud in front of Congress because they could do that without fear of repercussions? So what the blue fuck was holding down Democratic members of Congress from doing exactly that when they had the chance? How credulous do they expect us to remain in the face of such insults to our intelligence?
We have to realize that our flow of information is so tightly controlled that anything they choose to boost in the media is chosen with another agenda already in mind. Our media handlers and their handlers could catch and kill anything they want to. This has been proven and demonstrated repeatedly. Why is now different?
It is my honest and gut wrenching opinion that they will find some way at the twelfth hour to somehow pull that football on the American people once again. Too much power and wealth is endangered by releasing untampered with information of this nature. So why do it?
Well, if we accept at face value what we know to be true, that the media is a bought and paid for propaganda machine, not just for the Republicans but for the powerful and wealthy, we then have to admit that there just might be a nefarious purpose in these actions. I have seen some astute Substack authors comment on this saying that this is all a planned chaos event, muddying the waters and moving people's eyeballs and minds from worrying about the further implementation of project 2025, using this salacious and scandalous story to obscure their true intentions. I agree one hundred percent with this analysis.
While they have us out here scratching for tidbits of scandal with this drip drop of Epstein files debauchery, they are still hard at work behind the scenes laboring to complete their vision of America through their administrative coup and executive order flurries. Meanwhile, they are still moving ahead with their plans to kick millions of people off their healthcare, they are still slashing SNAP (mine was just reduced by over a hundred bucks, citing a “change in income” although I have seen no such thing) they are now talking about requiring every SNAP recipient to reapply for their benefits from the ground up, which will cause an enormous snarl of paperwork and mandatory appointments, erroneous errors and loss of food benefits for millions.
They are still moving forward with their goals of creating a theocratic technofeudalistic government framework. They have us all out here huffing hopium (again), distracting us from the fact that what they are building in the background will insulate them from any real repercussions. And I'm gonna level with you guys right now: if there happens to be a mass unmasking event where all these powerful abusers, rapists and sociopaths are finally exposed, and then are allowed to walk away scot free afterwards, as is the normal modus operandi of this country, there is no way to overestimate the mass psychological wounding that will occur in this troubled nation. Far too many people are expecting this to be the magic bullet. I worry about how the masses will react to a situation that, if we are honest, is the most likely possible outcome.
The answer to this lies not in giving up hope for change. The answer lies is seizing the opportunity for change. This is the time to keep organizing. Do not pause in your mutual aid efforts because of this pinpoint of sunlight streaming in through the darkness. We must continue preparing for what is to come from this lawless regime. Do not allow your eyes to be drawn too far away from what's going on behind the noise and chaos that we are being immersed in. These nefarious fuckers have only just begun to fight this battle, which for them is quite literally an existential fight. They battle like zealots because that is what they are, and we cannot afford to fight back with anything less than the same ferocity.
And so, my friends, I encourage all of you: please consider a general strike. Money is the only metric that speaks to these soulless corporate owned shills. Morality, truth, right and wrong: these are like words spoken in an unknown language to these people. They simply do not compute. The battle for the heart and soul of this country has only just begun. Do not lose sight of that simply because we have the faintest glimmer of hope shining through the crack in the curtains. Now is the time to dig deep and exploit those very real fractures that are beginning to form in their ranks. It can be done, but this is just the start.
It's so hard. This is all so fucking hard. I cry almost every single day now, sitting here alone in my living room. Great heaving sobs that feel as though they are ripped from the bottom of my stomach and expectorated out through my lungs. The stress and anxiety is truly leveling my ass. I'm barely holding on right now. That's why I'm so fucking quiet these days. And you know, hope is so fragile right now, so I don't want to say what's on my mind and possibly end up discouraging other people. So I hold back a lot of what's on my mind. But this, I had to say, because it just feels true. Nobody is coming to save us, my friends. It's on us. That's terrifying, but it's also freeing.
