That was great bluePNWcats! I loved the imagery. Wildfire both scares the fuck out of me and thrills me. I am calm and measured now, but feel that righteous anger rising. Something transformational is coming. I hope we survive it as a species.
I picked up Daddy's ashes today, they will be buried next to Mama next Friday. The mortuary that did it has two therapy cats - a gray striped tabby and a tuxedo cat. Both are sweet, with the tabby very friendly and the tuxedo very noisy, my grandson loved her "meows."
Wonderfully stated and yes, do not let rage consume you, but channel it in the right direction. Hold onto it and use it to fight the good fight against this regime.
That was beautifully written and I agree with it to a point. We have been hurt, etc. Still, I can't allow the hate that has harmed me into my heart. As the AMAZING Martin Luther King Jr. said Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Today, as I told you a homeless person knocked on my door. It was early in the morning for me and I wasn't even dressed. I could have been filled with rage and called the cops. Instead I just didn't answer the door because I'm really not a homeless shelter. I also didn't even know the person who showed up at my door. Still, I posted a bunch of links to homeless shelters. You've been homeless before so I know that you understand how hard it is. Just one act of compassion and kindness can mean the world in situations like that. I know 100% that with what's going on with Trump, etc. it's HARD not to be filled with rage. Society wants us to be filled with rage and it's not doing much. I also know though that hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Blue, you and others here have shown me understanding and love. That is what the world needs. I hope that love and understanding burns the fires of hate that Trump has created so that future generations can live peacefully and happily. Some cannot deal with what's going on today without rage, which I understand but some also go way too far with it. That is why there are school shootings, etc. I can't say that I'll allow rage into my heart because I learned from the actions of others. I learned from people like you who care. Compassion and understanding are the ways.
You make good points Angela, but I will point out that I most definitely do not advocate for hate. I advocate for righteous rage, which is completely different. Hate is a wasted and empty thing that hurts the owner far worse than anyone else. Rage, however, is a catalyst into action.
You both made good points. Our church is teaming with other local churches to help homeless families with children. We also have a blessing box, that can be filled with nonperishable food and necessities. I have put some canned goods and toilet paper in it, as have others. Some have put in bottled water.

I know, right? You can definitely feel it building.

Aww, what a comforting touch to have some sweet kitties wandering around. 😻 Glad you enjoyed it, Linda 😁

That's right! Rage can be productive when channeled. The time to find our grit is upon us. I hope we can pass the test.

I love hearing about small local actions like this! It can make a world of difference! ❤️❤️❤️
Love the antifa cat pictures. Thanks.
You're welcome! I have fun making them sometimes when I'm writer blocked lol.
They are great.
Well done Mama, the temp is rising… you gonna be out tomorrow ? How ya feeling ?
That's the plan! Feeling better today than the last few days but my stomach is still pretty fluttery.
