I have read many an opinion calling for a general strike. I know it will be difficult but we’ve seen strikes work and a rolling one would be less of a problem to coordinate. My only questions are, are people angry enough to pull it off? If not, what’s it going to take?
I think the general temperature probably hasn't risen to that point quite yet, but those tariff consequences haven't rolled through the door just quite yet, and inflation is only now just creeping up along with the price of gas. I think the time is coming soon and we need to have the infrastructure set up in advance.
When the Union was negotiating our new contract, we were asked if we'd walk out if it was shit. I said yes immediately; others did too. More came on board when we heard from our delegate that management came to the meeting without having changed their position at all. I'm certainly down for rolling general strike.
